Now accepting new clients!!
I groom out of my home now, which I can honestly say puts dogs WAY more at ease! I have seen both sides, where dogs get very nervous at a standard grooming salon- they get just as nervous as the vets office! And since I have been working from home, dogs typically view my house as "play time" and are so much more at ease when it comes to bath and hair cut time! My yard is fully fenced in, so if you permit- they are welcome to sniff around and have some fun too! Depending on the weather, I may work mainly indoors if it gets cold etc.
My name is Chrissie Horner. I am 35 years old and have been grooming professionally for 9 years. For 8 of those years, I groomed at a popular retail chain, but since Covid-19, I decided to branch out and work independently out of my home.
Monte, 38, is my best friend/ partner of one year that I met in Louisiana. He and I do everything together. I have found it easier and safer to have a second person working by my side in the event of an emergency or to help put a doggie customer at ease- sometimes the sounds of the clippers make them nervous- thats where Monte helps out! He also bathes and dries the dogs, permitting me time to clean up and sanitize equipment while not falling behind on time. He does really well with our customers, and makes special connections with each dog. You can rest assured your doggie will get our undivided attention, and we will cater to each of their individual needs. We care about every single one of you and strive for the best!

Using the correct shampoo for your furry friend can mean all the difference in how they feel when they get home from the doggie spa! Does your dog itch a lot? Have irritated skin? This is a common issue I see, and what I like to do is first give a flea bath to rule out the cause of itch, then use a medicated or oatmeal shampoo to soothe the skin. Maybe your dogs skin is dry and itchy, in which case oatmeal or tea tree shampoo is the best bet. Are they shedding? I can offer the Furminator shampoo and conditioner treatment (yes, it works!) That comes with a high velocity blow dry plus ten minutes of brushing with the special Furminator brush. Maybe your dog tends to have high anxiety, I can offer you aromatherapy shampoo! Aromatherapy isn't just effective for humans, it works in dogs too! Whatever your worry may be, we can talk it through and come up with a solution together. Seeing a happy dog and owner is why this is my passion!
